We just returned from Mexico, visiting 3 ports, Los Cabos, Matatlan, and Puerto Vallarta, sailing with Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL). We were anxious to see what this cruise line is like. The biggest difference between NCL and the other cruise lines is the Freestyle Dining they have introduced to the market. No more eating at either 6:00 or 8:30. No more sitting at the same table with the same people every night. To some this sounds like the best way to go. However, many who have sailed previously prefer the traditional dining to sitting with different people every night. In my opinion, the biggest draw back to freestyle dining is not having the same server each night. I guess you can ask to sit in the same section if you find a server you particularly like.
We love the freestyle, casualness of NCL. Having a table for two when we just want to talk, or sharing a table with new friends. It was nice to have that option. The entertainment was great. The staff was excellent in all areas. And the food was tasty and plentiful weather you were looking for healthy food or sweet indulgences for your time of escape from the real world.
NCL knows how to treat its past cruisers called Latitude Members. Many sailings will give Latitude Members on-board credit to use as they please, and, or discounted prices. It just takes one cruise with NCL and a person is automatically enrolled as a member.
Here are just a few pictures from the ship. The last 4 photos are in the spa area. Click on the pictures below to see in full size.

Of course we can find a great deal for your family. Cruising can be your least expensive way to vacation. Send me a personal email with the details. Where would you like to go? When, and how long would you like to go? Send me your birthdates and I'll send you some ideas.
